Terms of Service — FreshTrack

      Summary: FreshTrack is free to use, with an optional auto-renewing Pro subscription billed by Apple or Google. Your data belongs to you. The app helps you track food, but always use your own judgment about food safety.
    

1. Acceptance of These Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the FreshTrack mobile application ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. FreshTrack is developed and operated by Bilal USLU ("we", "us", "our").

2. The Service

FreshTrack helps you track food in your fridge, freezer, and pantry, monitor expiration dates, build shopping lists, and (with a Pro subscription) sync data across devices, share an inventory with your household, scan barcodes, receive reminders, and view waste insights. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Accounts

Core features work without an account. Some features (cloud sync, household sharing, purchasing Pro) require signing in with a Google or Apple account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time from Settings, or by following the steps on our Delete Account page.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

FreshTrack Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks premium features shown on the in-app paywall.
Payment is processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see or store your payment details. Prices are shown in the store's local currency before purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel anytime in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings; access continues until the end of the paid period.
Refunds are handled exclusively by Apple or Google under their policies.
On iOS, eligible subscriptions support Family Sharing; family members activate Pro via Restore Purchases with their own FreshTrack account.
Deleting your FreshTrack account does not cancel a store subscription — cancel it in your store settings.

5. Free Tier & Advertising

The free tier is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. Pro subscribers do not see ads. Ad personalization is subject to the consent choices you make in the app and your device settings; see our Privacy Policy Terms of Service for details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: misuse, reverse engineer, or disrupt the App or its backend services; attempt to access other users' data; circumvent subscription entitlements; or use the App for unlawful purposes. Household invite codes may only be shared with people you intend to share your inventory with — members of a household can see and edit that household's data.

7. Your Content

The inventory and shopping data you enter belongs to you. You grant us a limited license to store and process it solely to provide the service (e.g., syncing it between your devices and household members). We do not sell your data. See the Privacy Policy Terms of Service for how data is handled and how to export or delete it.

8. Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party services (Firebase, AdMob, the Apple App Store, Google Play, and the OpenFoodFacts product database for barcode lookups). Their availability and terms are outside our control, and their use is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Disclaimers — Please Read

        Food safety: Expiry dates, "use soon" badges, and reminders in FreshTrack are informational aids based on the dates you enter. They are not a substitute for your own judgment, official storage guidance, or food-safety practices. Never rely solely on the App to decide whether food is safe to eat.
      

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost — keep in mind that free-tier data is stored only on your device.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the App. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us through the App in the twelve months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time and may delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms or misuse of the service. Sections 7, 9, and 10 survive termination.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. For material changes we will provide notice in the App. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where the mandatory consumer-protection law of your country of residence applies.
